‘Daddy changed the world.’ The heartbreak and power in that one sentence. George Floyd’s daughter, Gianna, will no longer have a father and there’s nothing that can ever replace that. However I have linked in my stories a gofundme page dedicated to her future, education, counseling and well-being. I’m still trying to understand the most effective and helpful ways to utilize my energy and focus. Below are some accounts that have helped me further understand my power, my privilege and how to use them. Go follow them. ♥️ @colorofchange @aclu_nationwide @blklivesmatter @bailproject @grassrootslaw
Another senseless death of a black man at the hands of white privilege and white power. My heart is heavy knowing that the uproar from social media seems to be the only force keeping justice in check but we must do more. I am becoming increasingly more aware of my own white privilege and platform. To show your support go to www.JusticeForBigFloyd.com Link in bio. #blacklivesmatter

One more because I’m at work and all my friends are still on vacation and I’m gonna pretend I’m seeing the flamingos and drinking margaritas
Sunny and salty.
You are probably aware of the heartbreaking devastation the recent fires in Australia have caused to our unique and beautiful wildlife. The staggering statistic of 1 BILLION native animals lost is hard to believe, however, I recently received a much-needed positive environmental story amidst this destruction and tragedy. I had the opportunity to meet up with my friend @ecology .millie from @mulligansflat sanctuary and spend some time with the endangered Eastern Bettong, also known as the Balbo by the Ngunnawal People. (Also, this cuties name is Balbo! ) Mulligans Flat is a sanctuary that protects 1200ha of critically endangered woodland and has been fostering endangered species before the fire and will continue to do so after the fires. This little guy had been extinct from the Australian mainland for 120 years until they were reintroduced and protected at Mulligans. Now that climate change makes these ecological disasters more frequent and devastating, conservation and preservation are an essential and proactive path forward to save our wildlife and environment. If you can donate to the Mulligans Flat, I encourage you to do so. Link is in my bio. It all makes a difference. Thank you for taking the time read this. I am forever grateful for your generosity. love you all so much. ♥️
It’s back to work but I will never stop wining and dining
A moment for this...
Link in bio. Please share. I’ve been feeling helpless and at a loss for what to do to help ease the pain these tragic fires in Australia are causing. My country, my home, my heart. It’s very easy to feel defeated but every little bit counts and together we can change, heal and hold our government accountable for the absolutely essential climate justice reform needed. My heart is heavy for all those affected and I am forever inspired and in awe of the courage, bravery and selflessness of our firefighters. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ♥️ @nswrfs @redcrossau @wireswildliferescue
My favourite kind of holiday. Finally finished Homo Deus. Only took me a year.
Let the festivities begin. May the cheese platters be plentiful and white sneakers be squeaky. 🌲🕊✨
